Job Description

As a Supply Chain Intern at Save the Children, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Logistics unit with asset and warehouse management. Your responsibilities will include processing requests for procurement of goods and services for both the Nairobi Country Office and field offices, ensuring timely delivery to the program.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist the Logistics unit in asset and warehouse management activities.
  2. Process procurement requests for goods and services, adhering to established procedures and guidelines.
  3. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of procured items.
  4. Support inventory management and tracking of supplies.
  5. Assist in maintaining accurate records of procurement transactions.
  6. Participate in logistics planning and coordination for program activities.
  7. Provide administrative support to the Logistics unit as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling procurement transactions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software applications.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Previous experience or coursework in supply chain management is an advantage but not required.
