Job Description

Join our Graduate Associate Internship Programme for a 6-month tenure, starting July 2024, designed for exceptional candidates passionate about politics and driving change through collaboration with governments in Anglophone East Africa (Kenya and Rwanda). This programme offers diverse experiences, working alongside colleagues locally and globally, contributing to innovative projects within our expanding portfolio and business development activities. As an intern, you’ll engage in specific projects supporting political leaders, receive mentorship, and gain a comprehensive understanding of TBI’s operations, preparing you for a significant global impact.

Key Responsibilities: During the internship, you will:

  1. Conduct research, analysis, and produce written insights for clients and country leadership.
  2. Assist in advising political leaders on strategy, policy, and delivery, leveraging technology across all dimensions.
  3. Ensure high project impact through effective performance tracking and coordination.
  4. Participate in developing strategies, frameworks, and innovative approaches to drive change.
  5. Support project teams in creating reports, presentations, and other relevant documents.

Person Specification:

  1. Hold an Undergraduate Degree from a recognized university, graduated within the last twelve (12) months.
  2. Demonstrate a personal passion for politics and possess strong political acumen.
  3. Exhibit qualities of a changemaker, including:Passion for politics and a keen political insight.
  4. Team-oriented work ethic, with genuine care for colleagues’ performance, growth, and well-being.
  5. Curiosity for data and the ability to generate original insights through in-depth analysis.
  6. Entrepreneurial spirit and self-starting initiative.
  7. Proficiency in high-quality desk-based research.
  8. Comfortable with challenging analysis and structured problem-solving.
  9. Proactive, hands-on attitude with a willingness to take ownership of tasks.
  10. Legal residency and the right to work in Kenya are essential.
