Job Description

As a Health Intern with Save the Children, you will play a crucial role in the health team, contributing to the development and implementation of lifesaving health interventions for children and pregnant women. Whether based in Turkana or Nairobi, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the health and well-being of communities in Save the Children’s areas of operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with the health team to support the implementation of development projects.
  2. Assist in scaling up lifesaving health interventions for children and pregnant women.
  3. Participate in data collection, analysis, and reporting related to health programs.
  4. Contribute to the planning and execution of health-related activities and events.
  5. Support in monitoring and evaluation of health projects to ensure effectiveness and impact.
  6. Liaise with stakeholders and partners to facilitate the smooth implementation of health initiatives.
  7. Assist in documenting best practices and lessons learned for future reference and improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Community Health, Nursing, or a related field.
  • Passion for improving the health outcomes of children and vulnerable populations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and data analysis tools.
  • Prior experience or coursework in public health or community development is an advantage but not required.
