Reservations Trainee

About the Role

Join Kempinski Hotels as a Reservations Trainee in Nairobi, Kenya. This Internship position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the hospitality industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Revenue & Reservations Manager and the Reservation Agents in their day-to-day activities.
• Assist in achieving personal and team objectives.
• Determine and implement the procedures and standards of an effective filing system.
• Maintain an up-to-date operating manual of the department, including policies and procedures.
• Ensure all inquiries are dealt with within 24 hours.
• Maintain the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and attitude toward all hotel guests, clients, and colleagues.
• Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures.
• Understand and strictly adhere to the rules & regulations established in the employee handbook and the hotel’s policy on fire, hygiene, health & safety.
• Report and rectify all potential and real hazards immediately.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in Hospitality/Hotel Management from a recognized institution.
• No work experience required.
• Less than one year since completion (2024/2025).
• Kenyan Citizen.
• Completed coursework (even if not graduated).
• Ability to work and communicate in a multinational environment.
• Excellent grooming skills and professional etiquette.
• Good communication skills.
• Outgoing with a positive learning attitude.
