About the Role

Join PAWA 254 as a Records Studio Intern in Nairobi, Kenya. This Internship position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in music production and studio management within the Media industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire production process, from pre-production to mastering.
• Collaborate with artists to develop musical concepts, arrangements, and sound direction.
• Operate studio equipment, including digital audio workstations (DAWs), mixers, and instruments.
• Ensure professional sound quality through advanced mixing and mastering techniques.
• Provide creative input to shape an artist’s sound and style.
• Maintain the functionality and organization of studio equipment.
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to sound recording and software.
• Liaise with songwriters, instrumentalists, and other producers to create unique productions.
• Manage production schedules to meet deadlines.
• Organize recording sessions, ensuring efficiency and quality output.

Requirements

• A degree/diploma in music production, sound engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proficiency in DAWs such as Pro Tools, FL Studio, Logic Pro, Ableton Live, or Cubase.
• Strong knowledge of audio recording, mixing, and mastering techniques.
• Experience working in a professional studio environment.
