About the Job

We are seeking highly qualified job applicants from Nairobi, Kenya, for the full-time Pharmacy Technician position based in the Marshall Islands. This role, contingent upon contract award, involves working under the direct supervision of licensed healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and effective distribution of pharmaceuticals.

Job Descriptions

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will work closely with pharmacists, physicians, and other healthcare providers to perform essential pharmacy-related functions. Your role includes managing the pharmacy inventory, ensuring the security of prescription drugs, and supporting clinical pharmacy roles.

Qualifications and Experience

  1. Minimum of three years’ experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
  2. Completion of a formal Pharmacy Technician training program resulting in a diploma, certificate, or associate’s degree.
  3. Valid and unrestricted license.
  4. Current certification in Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
  5. Recent clinical experience in patient care for at least 6 months within the past year.

Skills

  • Proficiency in pharmaceutical care and inventory management.
  • Strong organizational and task prioritization skills.
  • Competence in using office support software for communications and scheduling.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Languages

  • Fluency in English (spoken and written) is required.

Eligibility and Selection

  • Valid passport with no less than 6 months remaining before expiration.
  • Successful completion of a security background check and drug screen.
  • Signing of the Acuity Foreign Service Agreement (FSA) and adherence to its terms.
  • Current and valid certifications as required.

  1. Dispense prescription drugs and other healthcare products to patients.
  2. Document patient care and follow-up requirements.
  3. Participate in meetings and task force groups to improve service quality and outcomes.
  4. Assist in managing daily activities and prioritizing tasks.
  5. Ensure compliance with all applicable Acuity standards and guidelines.
  6. Uphold patient dignity in line with the American Hospital Associations Bill of Rights.
  7. Operate personal computers for accessing emails, calendars, and office software.
  8. Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
