Multimedia Communications Intern

About the Role

Join the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) as a Multimedia Communications Intern in Nairobi, Kenya. This internship offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to digital transformation and environmental sustainability in the Environmental Services sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the Office of the Chief Digital Officer's communications and knowledge management plan, including newsletters, website content, and knowledge management.
• Support communications and community building for the Coalition for Digital Environmental Sustainability (CODES) and the Coalition for Sustainable AI.
• Help design and deliver a digital transformation capacity-building program and organize monthly peer-to-peer Digital Discovery sessions.
• Create visual assets such as factsheets, presentations, data visualizations, and infographics for internal and external use.
• Conduct desktop research and develop concept notes.
• Produce creative multimedia content, including videos, infographics, visuals, and supplementary communication assets.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including partners, project managers, and third-party suppliers, in developing multimedia assets.
• Enhance internal and external websites with value-added content.
• Perform other duties as requested, aligned with the intern's interests.

Requirements

• Enrolled in a graduate school program (second university degree or equivalent) or in the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum Bachelor's level).
• Recent graduates (within one year) are also eligible.
• No prior professional work experience is required.
