This role involves filing and processing claims, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing exceptional customer service to insured individuals.
Role Summary: As a Claims Assistant, you’ll be responsible for receiving and processing new claims applications, reviewing incoming claims, verifying documents, and maintaining claim databases. You’ll play a crucial role in communicating with insured individuals, preparing reports for management, and ensuring timely processing of all claims.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and process new claims applications, handling customer service issues.
- Review incoming claims to determine admissibility based on insurance policy terms.
- Verify claims documents and submit them to underwriters promptly.
- Communicate with insured individuals regarding claim status updates and payment schedules.
- Prepare detailed reports summarizing claims activity for internal use.
- Maintain claim databases, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information.
- Fill in the Incourage daily claims CRM system accurately and promptly.
- Ensure proper documentation and timely processing of all claims.
- Confirm all claims and refunds, updating records accordingly.
- Maintain proper filing of claim documents and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Perform any other duties allocated by management as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- At least 1 year of experience in a claims role.
- Knowledge of insurance principles, regulatory requirements, and policies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Google Workspace.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
