Position Overview
KKCO East Africa is seeking an Audit Intern to support audit assignments. This role involves assisting in the verification of audit trails and reviewing financial systems for accuracy. The successful candidate will gain practical experience in various aspects of auditing and accounting, contributing to the firm’s mission of delivering high-quality client solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in verifying the accuracy of accounting systems and procedures
- Review and recommend improvements in accounting controls and processes
- Verify accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledgers for accuracy
- Reconcile bank deposits and payments
- Test and assess software and hardware systems for functionality
- Ensure accounting databases are updated and functioning properly
- Inspect budgets, balance sheets, and financial statements for accuracy
- Check compliance with regulatory guidelines and auditing standards
- Provide feedback on internal controls and recommend improvements
Qualifications
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting from a recognized institution
- CPA Finalist or ACCA Finalist
- Skills and Attributes:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision
- Positive attitude, proactive, and a team player
- Good communication skills and leadership potential
